Shield Insurance Broker Supports OIC in Promoting Songkran Road Safety 2024

“Shield Insurance Broker,” operated by Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited (TIDLOR), led by Mrs. Athitaya Phoonwathu (second from left), Chief Insurance Officer, and Mr. Charnrit Sukplang (second from right), Head of Areegator Business, deployed a team to host a Shield Insurance Broker booth at the press conference for the launch of the “Road Safety Campaign during Songkran Festival 2024,” organized by the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC). The event was led by Mr. Chuchart Pramoolpol (center), Secretary-General of the OIC, together with executives and staff participating in a campaign parade around the event area. 

At the booth, Shield Insurance Broker communicated the importance and benefits of long-term compulsory motorcycle insurance with coverage periods of 3–5 years, which provides continuous protection and offers savings of up to 100 baht. In early 2024, Shield Insurance Broker prioritized advisory and sales of long-term compulsory motorcycle insurance without fees, totaling more than 12,000 policies, in support of the OIC’s policy to ensure continuous protection for motorcycle riders in the event of accidents. 

In addition, the booth featured engaging activities that incorporated insurance knowledge, along with opportunities to win prizes. The company also provided free personal accident Micro Insurance during the Songkran holiday, offering a 30-day coverage period (from the registration date) with coverage of up to 100,000 baht, helping reduce potential losses from accidents—especially during Songkran, when accident rates are higher than usual. The event attracted strong public interest and participation at Victory Monument, Bangkok, recently.
