Shield Insurance Broker Supports OIC in Advancing ESG Through Reforestation to Restore Nan Watersheds

“Shield Insurance Broker,” operated by Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited (TIDLOR), led by Mrs. Athitaya Phoonwathu, Chief Insurance Officer, deployed a team to support the “Road Safety Awareness Campaign during Long Holidays and Reforestation Activity to Restore Nan Watersheds 2025,” organized by the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC). The company also contributed 130,000 baht to the Regional Training Center for Community Forests in Asia and the Pacific (RECOFTC) under the “Trees4All” project to support the planting and maintenance of 1,000 trees over a three-year period. The initiative aims to restore upstream forests and expand green areas in Nan Province. This project is part of the OIC’s sustainable insurance concept, which integrates policy development with natural resource conservation, aligning with the ESG framework—particularly the Environmental dimension—of Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited and Tidlor Holdings, as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the event, Shield Insurance Broker also hosted an activity booth featuring engaging activities that incorporated knowledge and benefits of various types of insurance, such as compulsory motor insurance, motor insurance, and personal accident insurance. Through simulated real-life scenarios, participants were encouraged to think, analyze, and build understanding, while enjoying opportunities to win prizes. In addition, the company offered free “Happy Home, Safe Home” Micro Insurance policies underwritten by Bangkok Insurance, providing coverage of up to 30,000 baht for a period of 30 days (from the registration date), delivering peace of mind and helping reduce financial burdens from unexpected events. The activity was recently held at Khwang Muang Nan, Mueang District, Nan Province.
